OCTALUX, Latin for orgasm, English for "Rock your face off!"

OCTALUX is a hammering blend of rock and punk that runs the gamut of musical emotions from anger to fear, loneliness to hatred, and suicide to heartbreak. The band's music transcends the boundaries of the norm and takes a look at love from inside out and sideways, then twists and bends it all into frenetic, melodic, good time music that defies being pigeon-holed into any one genre.

The songs of OCTALUX are a dark look into the gaping maw that is love and the tragic consequences it has reaped on all of us. The tricky part is that while the bleak, angry lyrics paint a portrait of the pain, betrayal and suffering that relationships have battered lead singer and rhythm guitarist Hurley with, they are cleverly hidden within the framework of hard-driven, (and flat out fun), rock-out songs.

Featuring Fite on lead guitar and supporting vox, Matt on Bass and supporting vox and Chase killing the drums, these guys bring it from the moment they walk on stage until the last note rings out from the FOH and washes over their raging fans.

With their latest release, No Apologies For Broken Hearts, ready to hit stores this summer, the band is gearing up for the No Apologies Tour which is set to kick off in May and plans include a tour of Japan early next year.

With epic tracks like Chromosome and Black Shirts and Iron Crosses combined with high energy songs like Ashtray Face and the title track, this album promises to be their best work to date.

OCTALUX is one of the most entertaining live bands you're ever likely to see. Their onstage antics and endless energy defy their audiences to stay in their seats. When these guys cut loose, you just can't help getting off with them.

Steve Nall, Senior Writer for Music Entertainment Magazine had this to say about their latest release; "If you see this CD in the rack at your favorite music store, BUY IT!"

If you get the chance to see OCTALUX live, do yourself a favor and take in the experience. You will not regret it.
